Perch Proshyan House-museum
The house-museum of Perch Proshyan was founded in 1948 on the basis of the father's house of the beloved writer. The museum is included in the list of immovable monuments of history and culture of Ashtarak.
There is a pantry, a bakery in the building, where there are copper, clay, wooden household items and dishes of the 18th-19th centuries. Materials, pictures, personal belongings, etc. related to Proshyan's life and literary and social activities are displayed.
Later, 3 showrooms were built. In the first room, Perch Proshyan's personal belongings are displayed, in the rest of the rooms there are materials telling about his life and activities. The samples of the exhibition were mainly enriched through the descendants of the writer.
The number of samples in the museum reaches 2000, which fully represent Perch Proshyan's literary, pedagogical and public activities.
The writer's monument, whose sculptor is Suren Stepanyan, can be seen in the courtyard of the house-museum.
The museum is important in the cultural life of the city. The writer's creative mind is preserved here and various events are organized.
